2016 Brook Horse Chardonnay

Crafting a Chardonnay to satisfy the masses takes more than just amazing fruit. We start with pristine grapes, carefully sourced from trusted vineyards in Southern Oregon. Aging in just 20% new French oak barrels adds dimension to the fruit with buttery notes of vanilla, and caramel. We like oak, but we also want to taste the fruit. Our process with this vintage also included blending in one barrel that underwent malolactic fermentation (14% of total). The malolactic fermentation process smooths out some of the tartness, leaving a rounder more creamy wine.
